'Dude' Ranch Weekender package: It's raw, it's outdoors, and it's just what you and the guys need to remind you how much fun it is to be one with nature. Fill your days fishing on Vedan Lake or any nearby lake where we hear rumours like 'it's a major honey hole this season!' We've got motorized aluminum boats as well as belly boats and pontoon boats to take you and the guys out for a full day of trout fishing. We've also got fly-fishing rods and all the gear to go along. And guys, let's not forget about the horseback riding, archery, hiking, and many other activities the ranch has to offer. In the evenings enjoy your drinks while you share fishing stories in our lakeside hot tub.

Elkin Creek Guest Ranch Policies and Guidelines

Reservations
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards. Please submit the full name as it appears on your card, expiry date and number via e-mail or telephone. We also accept bank drafts and certified cheques, but no personal cheques. A receipt will be returned to confirm your payment. Flight information will be confirmed well before your departure.

Deposit
A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to your stay at the ranch. If you book your holiday within 30 days of your planned arrival, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

Cancellations
We require written cancellation 60 days prior to date of scheduled arrival. In case of later cancellation, we reserve the right to withhold the following amounts: 59-21 days: 25%, 20-15 days: 50%, 14-8 days 70%, 7-0 days: no refund granted.

Transportation
There is no public transportation from Williams Lake to the Elkin Creek Guest Ranch; however, we do offer a shuttle service. For $59 roundtrip an Elkin Creek Guest Ranch service representative will pick you up from the Williams Lake Airport and escort you directly to the ranch. Please arrange this service when booking your reservation.

Liability
Each guest accepts any risk involved in the participation of all activities and trips and will not hold Elkin Creek Ranch/Adventure West Resorts Ltd responsible for injury or loss suffered by the customer. Each guest will be required to sign a waiver releasing Elkin Creek Ranch/Adventure West Resorts Ltd from liability.

Photo Release
All guests are required to sign a liability waiver of claims, which includes an optional section titled 'photo release.' This clause offers Elkin Creek Guest Ranch guests a chance to become real Wild West celebrities. Agreeing to the photo release will allow Adventure West Resorts Ltd to use the images for advertising, promotional and marketing purposes.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is recommended for yourself and/or your valuables.

Pet Policy
We do accept dogs, however only under certain conditions:

  1. You MUST inform us that you are bringing a pet. If it is not prearranged with us and you arrive with a pet, you may be refused occupancy.
  2. We charge a $75.00 refundable deposit which is based on the condition of cabin furniture and flooring upon time of checkout.
  3. We only have 2 cabins that are deemed as pet friendly. If these cabins are booked, we cannot allow you to bring your pet.
  4. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while on the immediate property.
  5. Pets must be kept in a kennel inside the cabin at night as barking and whining will disturb other guests.
  6. All pets must remain off the furniture, including sofas and beds.
  7. No dogs allowed inside the main lodge, barns corrals and other cabins.
  8. Pick up after your pet! Please keep scat off trails, driveway and lawn.
  9. Keep wet dogs outside! Be aware that another guest will be using the cabin directly after you and would not appreciate the smell of wet dog.
  10. For the safety of the horses and other riders, dogs are not allowed to accompany trail rides or other arena activities.
  11. Only approach other guests with your pet if they indicate that it is okay. As many people are allergic or afraid of dogs, we like to ensure that our guests feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
  12. If your dog does not get along with other animals, please be courteous and leave it at home.
  13. We are not liable for lost pets as guests are responsible for their whereabouts at all times and should be aware that we are surrounded by vast wilderness and wild animals.
