Travelling to Elkin Creek Guest Ranch via land?
The overland route from Vancouver: Travel Highway 1 north to Cache Creek, then Highway 97 north to Williams Lake. Take Highway 20 west to Hanceville then turn south for 90km to Elkin Creek Guest Ranch. The Ranch is located approximately 2.5 hours by road from Williams Lake. Get specific driving directions from Williams Lake to Elkin Creek Guest Ranch.
Get driving directions from Vancouver to Williams Lake.
Get driving directions from Calgary to Williams Lake.
Keep your eyes peeled on route for Wild Horses, bears, and deer, depending on the season. Panoramic views of Mt. Tatlow will take your breath away, but be sure not to point your finger at it as local legend maintains that it will bring bad weather to the valley.
Travelling to Elkin Creek Guest Ranch via Air?
To Williams Lake: Flights to Williams Lake from Vancouver are based out of Vancouver International Airport's South Terminal and are aboard Pacific Coastal Airlines scheduled flights. Flights to the ranch depart on Mondays and Thursdays and are approximately 1hour. Call for current charter prices. Shuttle service is available for $59 roundtrip.
To Ranch: Flights from Vancouver International Airport's South Terminal to the Elkin Creek Guest Ranch private airstrip depart Mondays and Thursdays and are approximately 1 hour 15 min. Fly in comfort to the Ranch and view lakes and glaciers as you cross over British Columbia's spectacular Coastal mountain range.
* Minimum 2 passengers per flight. Maximum luggage allowed is 35 lbs. per person.
If you have your own plane you are welcome to land on our grass airstrip. We are at an elevation of 4000 feet and the grassy airstrip is 4300 feet in length. As the airstrip is within eyesight of our main lodge, you will be greeted immediately upon your arrival with friendly faces and warm smiles.
** Guests MUST notify us in advance if they plan to use our airstrip as we have to ensure that there are NO HORSES on the runway at the time of landing. A landing fee may apply to airstrip users who are not guests of the ranch.
If you have a float plane you can land on Vedan Lake, located only a 5 minute walk from our main lodge. The shores of Vedan Lake make excellent beaching grounds for float planes. Coordinates are N51 30' 46" W123 48' 16". The identifier is BL9. Refer to Canada Flight Supplement.
