Where is it?
The resort is located in the Chilcotin region of central British Columbia, Canada approximately 180km southwest of Williams Lake.

Eden on Chilko Lake is a health and wellness focused resort with facilities for improving both physical and mental wellness. The resort also offers a wide array of outdoor activities in a spectacular wilderness setting.

How long does it take to get there from Vancouver?
At roughly 700km, if you leave in the morning, it's an easy day's drive and will get you to the Lodge in time for dinner and an evening massage or hot-tub. Most people make it in just over 8hrs. If you ensure daylight for your drive, it's a beautiful scenic drive with rolling meadows, remarkable glaciers and jagged summits.

How long is the flight from Vancouver?
The flight time from Vancouver to Williams Lake is just over 1 hour and the scenery is worth the added expense. As we do have a well maintained landing strip, we can also arrange flights directly to the resort.

What is the closest large town?
The nearest town is Williams Lake.

How many people does the resort accommodate?
The resort can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Is your resort child friendly?
Although the resort's focus is on strengthening the health and wellness of adults, we encourage family holidays and ensure that there are plenty of activities to keep the little ones busy.

What type of accommodations do you offer?
We have fully renovated lakefront Chilcotin suites, spacious deluxe half-duplexes and large private chalets. The majority of cabins have lofts and some units have kitchenettes. All accommodation is waterfront!

Do you bring your own food?
We offer food-inclusive holidays, meaning all meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the price of your stay. However, we do encourage prolonged stays and offer monthly rates to cabins with kitchen units. In this case you may supply your own food.

What type of dining experience can I expect?
Our first-class executive chef uses only the freshest local ingredients and will provide you with three menu options per evening; your selection will consist of a healthy heart and weight loss dish, a vegan option, and a globally inspired dish. Enjoy such dishes as fresh pacific halibut and seared ahi tuna.

Can we make special dietary requests?
Absolutely, we are able to cater to special dietary requests. Please inform us of your requirements prior to arrival and we'll be happy to help.

Are there house cleaning services, or do we clean our own cabins?
Yes we have full housekeeping services.

Is the resort wheelchair accessible/friendly?
The resort could be challenging for those requiring assistance as there is no pavement and there are steps into the cabins. However we can certainly make every effort to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and provide help whenever needed.

Can someone teach me to ride a horse and paddle a kayak? Even if I'm a complete beginner at both?
Absolutely, the experienced wranglers will take you into the arena for a lesson before hitting the trail. Our aquatic activity staff will be happy to demonstrate the skills needed to safely paddle a kayak. There is no need to worry; many guests at the resort are beginner level participants.

What is there to do in the evenings?
We have a fully licensed bar and lounge in the main lodge with a fireplace and spacious seating. You can book an evening massage at the Garden Spa or join in on an evening yoga class. The hot tub and sauna are a nice relaxing alternative or, for those who enjoy their evenings outside, each cabin has a lakefront balcony, great for unwinding with your favourite novel.

What do you do in case of a medical emergency?
There is a local health clinic in the valley, and Medivac is available for serious injuries.

Does your staff have first aid experience?
Yes.

What do we wear?
At Eden on Chilko Lake you can wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. You are here to unwind and rejuvenate; and for that you need to keep comfort in mind. You are welcome to bring a dress if you are joining us during our Dancing under the Stars event.

What is the weather like?
Snow stays around until late May and is followed by variable weather patterns in June. Fairly consistent are the somewhat chilly evening temperatures. Typically, it's sunny throughout the main summer months (July and August and into September) with temperatures reaching 35°c. Keep in mind that we may get some rain.
